Many ask me, why doesn’t Source energy or God get rid of all the suffering and evil in the world? I have my own answers for this that bring me total peace, but it’s one of those universal questions that many on this path hear. Would you give us your perspective?

There are a couple of things here. First, all of you are in an experience of free will, which means that nothing outside of you can choose for you. If you choose to believe that you’re not good enough, not loved, not worthy, a victim of life circumstances, and that terrible things happen to you, that nothing ever works out for you, and that life is not fair, then you will hold yourself in a level of consciousness and density of vibration where you indeed experience suffering. Thus, you have the free will to choose your own suffering as much as you have the free will to choose your own joy. It all comes down to the thoughts that you’re thinking and the meaning that you are giving things, which affects the level of consciousness that you are in at the time.

The root of all suffering is the belief that you are unworthy, not good enough, and unloved by Source, by God, by Creator—the very thing that you are. As we said earlier, you must work very hard to hold yourself in lower vibrations of consciousness; it takes a lot of energy to deny the truth of you and your magnificence.

Individuals and collectives within humanity forget the truth of who they are; they forget their magnificence. In this, they are perceiving reality from the lower levels of consciousness where the unworthiness, the unlovableness, and the not-good-enoughness exist and create great suffering for themselves and others. You are all Source, God, the Divine. God is in you, God is in everyone, and God is in everything, and you are either focused on perceiving the God within you and others and everything, and the love within you and others and everything, or you are choosing to perceive the lack of Source, of God, of love in you and others and everything. It is always your choice.

Many times, in your human experience, you encounter upsetting situations. In the moment, you create a story about it as being the most awful thing that could ever happen. You say things like: “It’s terrible. It’s horrible. It’s wrong. It shouldn’t have happened. Why me? God doesn’t love me. I must be unlovable.” And you’re angry, mad, and filled with rage. You are suffering and struggling. Yet, you may continue to create your suffering by repeating the story over and over again while feeling the emotions of it. You may even drag your friends and family into the suffering with you and find others that have had similar experiences who are suffering too; then there’s a group of you suffering together. This is how you perpetuate suffering in lower dimensions of consciousness.
